Hi, I am Michelle from One Fit widow
You are still here for a reason, you should live.

Let's Get Real About Grief

Talking about grief in your workplace, organizations, and businesses

We all grieve and experience pain and trauma, but few businesses and organizations take the time to address the white elephant in the room. It’s as if we believe that by ignoring the obvious, we can gloss over people’s pain and get back to normal. Sadly, for the grieving person, there is no return to normal.

Let’s not only address grief head-on but let’s give our teams healthy ways to not only cope and survive what they have been through but learn to thrive. Let’s teach ourselves and our organizations how to treat people with the respect and dignity they deserve after a traumatic experience in their life and also return to their existence with purpose and promise for a brighter future.

Michelle has been the keynote speaker and educator for The Navy Seal Foundation, Wings for Widows, and Third Option Foundation, Grief’s Journey, to name a few. She has also spoken and led breakout groups at the TAPS annual conference in Washington DC (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors), New York, Life, MOPS, and the Motion Picture Television Fund in Los Angeles.

In addition, Michelle runs adventure works hops and events worldwide, from Bali to Peru and Italy; her team travels to inspire people to live their most intentional life.

Michelle’s talks can cover a range of topics, including, but not limited to:

  • Living Well After Loss
  • Healthy Healing – Tools for your Healing Toolbox (based on her best-selling book, Healthy Healing).
  • Living your Life on Purpose
  • Raising Kids with Grit and Resilience
  • How to Deal with all forms of Grief in the Workplace
  • The importance of Life Insurance and Estate Planning

Breakout Groups Sessions can include:

  • TRE (Tension Releasing Exercises)
  • Meditation and Breathing
  • Wellness/Fitness
  • The Importance of Nutrition to Mental Health

I’d love to chat about your next event and how my training might inspire your team.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Michelle's Best Selling Book - Healthy Healing

At age thirty-six, I lost my husband in a tragic plane accident. I was left a widow and mother of two young children. During this difficult time (and to my surprise), I found solace and hope in the unlikeliest of places: exercise. Now, it’s my goal to help others coping with great pain to rediscover happiness by strengthening body, mind, and spirit through fitness.

Healthy Healing isn’t just an exercise and nutrition plan, it is a guide to moving forward, and feeling better in the midst of grief. It’s common to shut down in the face of overwhelming loss but the truth is focusing on your health may be the best thing you can do, for yourself and the people you love.

Not only will strengthening your body give you the physical stamina to fight off depression and despair, exercise produces endorphins that make you feel good, at a time when you need it most.

Part exercise program, nutrition guide, and compassionate companion, Healthy Healing addresses the physical, mental, and emotional effects of grief with practical advice and actionable inspiration.
