We all grieve and experience pain and trauma, but few businesses and organizations take the time to address the white elephant in the room. It’s as if we believe that by ignoring the obvious, we can gloss over people’s pain and get back to normal. Sadly, for the grieving person, there is no return to normal.
Let’s not only address grief head-on but let’s give our teams healthy ways to not only cope and survive what they have been through but learn to thrive. Let’s teach ourselves and our organizations how to treat people with the respect and dignity they deserve after a traumatic experience in their life and also return to their existence with purpose and promise for a brighter future.
